Azerbaijani people love Ahlalbayt

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “People of Azerbaijan love Ahlalbayt and the government of this country stood against the nations by perpetrating some antireligious acts,” Tehran Friday Prayer leader, Muhammad Kazem Seddiqi said in a meeting. He referred to the worsening Islamophobia in the Republic of Azerbaijan and said, “Azerbaijani people love Ahlalbayt especially [the third shia leader] Imam Hussein (PBUH) but unfortunately they faced with anti religious acts of their government.” He also pointed to the penetration of Zionism ideas and policies in the Azeri Government and said, “Such penetration happened in a condition that Azerbaijanis cannot withstand cruelty of Zionism regime to down trodden of Palestinians.” Majority of the people in Azerbaijan are Shia but the government has recently started to destroy mosques and attacks Muslim worshipers./129
